Kit Aeria compact of the brand Audio Systeme Dynamqiue. This speaker is in the form of a column of almost a meter high, three-way type. The bass register is provided by two identical speakers, 20 cm in diameter. These Davis brand transducers have a membrane made from cellulose and graphite. They enclose the medium-high horn, which is a small marvel of cabinetmaking. This flag is indeed made by turning a thick piece of mahogany and equipped with a brand engine R.C.F. Its weight and rigidity let us hope for a color-free sound, which we will have the opportunity to check while listening.
Ebony cabinet sold separately, several finishes are available to order, do not hesitate to contact us if you wish more information.
We will provide you with an assembly plan and a diagram to realize the cabinetmaking during the sending of the elements.

The cabinetmaking structure consists mainly of high-density agglomerates (meditates). Obviously, the designers went on the hunt for vibrations since each finished speaker has a record weight of nearly 90 kilograms! The inner space is separated into two parts. A first closed volume loads the first bass speaker and the mid-high horn. The second speaker uses the principle of the transmission line, which means that the back wave is attenuated by a long path before opening out of the speaker. In the case of the Aéria Compact SII, the opening is practiced on the back and at the top of the speaker.
The filter has also been the subject of much care since the model used is symmetrical type second order (12 dB per octave) with generously sized components. This kit is available in several versions. The first includes the speakers, filter elements, terminal blocks, wiring and ... the speaker planes. Suffice to say that this version is only for those who master the work of wood. But, rest assured, there are other possibilities for cabinet making, accessible to any meticulous person.
For example, it is possible to acquire the speakers in the form of perfectly cut and machined panels (location of the loudspeakers and filters). The work comes down to a simple assembly with wood glue followed by a finish of his choice.
Finally, for the less DIY, the latest version does not present the slightest difficulty since the cabinetmakers are fully assembled (rough finish). All that remains is to install the HP and the filter. A child's play ...
